Selection Process

A total of 200 participants will be selected, 150 from Brazil and 50 from other countries. Among the Brazilian participants, at least 25 will be from outside São Paulo. Candidates may be master’s and doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, or professionals.

Selection will take into account geographic and gender representativeness to promote the diversity of the School’s participants.

Application Requirements

• English sufficient fluency, declared on the application form by candidates.
• Photo ID and proof of nationality.
• Curricular summary (FAPESP) or short curriculum vitae, with academic achievements and/or relevant professional experience, highlighting connections with the School’s theme.
• Motivation letter written by the student explaining the importance of this opportunity for their future training and work.
• Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor, from Brazil or abroad.
• Updated academic transcripts.
• Ethnic-racial self-declaration (when applicable).
• One-page resume (up to 400 words) for a poster presentation of a research project developed in connection with the School’s theme.

Important Information for selected participants: It is mandatory for the selected candidate to participate in the School for the entire 10-day period.
